Q: Is a Troop Unit one or three soldiers?
A: A Troop Unit consists of three soldiers (the point cost listed on the unit card is for the full squad, not each individual troop, thus a Rocket Trooper squad of three troops is 25 pts. total.) The troop tray is used for keeping the three troop figures organized, and they can also be removed one at a time to keep track of squad damage.
Q: Does the initiative system of each player activating all of their units at once work well for just 2-player games, or is that designed for games with higher numbers of players?
A: The initiative system was designed with games of 4 or more players in mind. If only 2 people are playing the game, it depends on the force size. If a 2-player game has forces of 500 points or less, use the system as written. If a 2-player game has each side using much over 500 points, you may wish to break those forces in half for initiative purposes, with each player activating half of their force, then alternating. The initiative system is purposely designed to make initiative a key component of the game, so activating a single unit and then alternating is not an option.
